There is so much to share, and so much has happened and so many doors have opened since the publication of THE FORSAKEN on August 28, 2026.

As we near the end of October 2026, I’m a little behind in sharing all that’s taken place, so let me start with the Crawlspace Podcast, where Alicia Doyle and I were guests on August 20, 2026. Our hosts, Tim Pilleri and Lance Reenstierna, were wonderful, and the entire experience was incredible. I hope you’ll take the time to watch the interview and explore their other outstanding podcasts as well. Their support has meant so much to us, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity they gave us to share this story.

By the time of this posting, our September events have come and gone, and what an incredible experience they were. One of the greatest joys was finally meeting so many of you in person after connecting through Zoom over the past year and a half. It was truly an honor and a blessing to meet so many compassionate and supportive people.
Our biggest event, a book signing and panel discussion, took place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at The Junkyard Cafe in Simi Valley, California. The turnout exceeded every expectation. In fact, the event reached capacity, and we unfortunately had to turn people away at the door. Had we known the response would be so overwhelming, we would have secured a larger venue.
The event was also featured in the Simi Valley Acorn, and once again, they did an outstanding job covering both the story behind THE FORSAKEN and the event itself. We are incredibly thankful for their continued interest and support.

The panel featured six individuals whose lives and experiences are woven into the pages of THE FORSAKEN. Joining me were Alicia Doyle, Bob Klamser (“OI” in my acronyms), Steve, the jury foreman, Rob Bowyer, the cousin, and Erika Wolfe, known in the book as the “Goodwill Girl.” Each appears in THE FORSAKEN under their real name. Together, we shared our personal connections to the story, discussed the book, and answered questions from the audience. It was an unforgettable experience.
Following the discussion, we signed books and had the opportunity to meet and speak with so many wonderful attendees. If you were there, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support. If you were unable to get in due to capacity limits, I sincerely apologize. I hope we’ll have future events that give us the opportunity to meet you as well.
Then, on October 5, 2026, Alicia and I had the privilege of being interviewed on The Buzz TV Morning Show with Martha Aguilera and Rick Garcia, a Southern California streaming news program based in Santa Clarita. During the segment, we discussed THE FORSAKEN and the story behind the book. Martha and Rick were outstanding hosts who asked thoughtful and engaging questions, making the experience both enjoyable and meaningful.
I am incredibly grateful for every opportunity to share Rhonda and Donnie’s story with a wider audience and to continue spreading awareness of the events that inspired THE FORSAKEN.

And the excitement doesn’t stop there. We are currently in discussions with two documentary filmmakers, one connected to a major cable network and the other a two-time Emmy Award-winning documentarian. While it is still too early to share details, we are encouraged by the growing interest in this story and hopeful about what may lie ahead.
What began as a simple blog to share the truth about Rhonda and Donnie’s murder and to honor their lives has grown into something far greater than I ever imagined. Along the way, God has blessed me with extraordinary friendships, unforgettable experiences, and the privilege of witnessing how this story has touched so many lives.
Thank you for your support, your encouragement, and your belief in this journey. None of this would have been possible without you.
